Tagging, Not Scoring

Signal tags describe what kind of development a story represents. They are not a forecast and they are not a score — each article may carry one or more tags.

News Feed™ — Published Articles

Articles published directly here, or promoted from the Editorial™ queue. Nothing reaches the public Latest News page unless its status is Published.

Bulk Import Tool™

Paste one record per line in the format: Headline | Source | URL. Imported rows land in the Candidate Queue™ with status New — nothing is auto-published.

Signal Tagging System™

This is a tagging system, not a scoring system. Add new signal types here at any time — no code changes required.

News Gathering Engine™

Sources™ → Gathering Engine™ → Candidate Queue™ → Editorial Review™ → Published News Feed™. For each source with an RSS Feed URL, the engine tries five routes in order: direct browser fetch, then rss2json.com (a JSON API specifically built for browser-side RSS reading — the most reliable route and the one most likely to work from Ghost), then Corsfix, AllOrigins, and CodeTabs as fallbacks. The first route that succeeds is used; the rest are skipped. Nothing publishes automatically. Run the Connection Diagnostic below to see exactly which routes work from your browser.

Run Connection Diagnostic™

If pulls aren't producing any results, click this. It checks your browser's fetch support, then tests a real feed (Electrek) through a direct connection and all four CORS relays, one at a time, and reports exactly what happened with each — this stays on screen, unlike the toast notifications.

Global News Discovery Engine™

Two discovery layers work alongside the RSS Pull Engine. GDELT is free, requires no API key, and monitors 65,000+ global news sources in 65 languages — it is the primary discovery backbone. GNews provides a high-quality curated English feed with a free API key (100 requests/day). All discovered items enter the Candidate Queue™ with status New. Nothing publishes automatically.

GDELT Project™ — Global Discovery (Free · No Key Required)

Queries the GDELT Project v2 Doc API which monitors 65,000+ news sources worldwide. No registration. No API key. Rate limit: 1 request/second. Up to 25 articles per query.

GNews API™ — Optional Secondary Discovery Layer

Add a free GNews API key (register at gnews.io) to enable a second high-quality discovery layer. 100 requests/day free. Leave blank to use GDELT only.

Discovery Log™
Query Library™ — Administrator Managed

Queries run against GDELT and GNews when you click a discovery button. Add, edit or deactivate queries at any time — no code changes required.

Academy™

Placeholder content for the structured learning layer. Editable now, expandable later.

Sponsors™

The first Active sponsor below is shown automatically in the masthead "Presented By" bar.

Cloud Sync™

Cloud is the source of truth. The platform pulls automatically on startup. Use these buttons to sync manually after editing or publishing.
